Show ARTS, LETTERS AND SCIENCE Dr. Dello G. Dayton, Dean of Arts, Letters and Science, received his Bachelor of Science from Utah State University and his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from Berkeley. After 30 years of service with the U.S. Army Reserves, he retired in 1968 with the rank of colonel. Charles A. Groberg, Acting Chairman of the Weber State Art Department says: "I especially enjoy painting landscapes of western scenes particularly in Utah. This is probably brought about because of being born and raised here. My art training out of state was in California and New York. Since 1948 I have been teaching art at Weber. My earlier life was spent in a rural area enjoying unpolluted air, sparkling pure water, and plenty of work." Herbert Cecil, Chairman of the Music Department, was raised in Nebraska. He graduated from the University of Nebraska With Distinction in 1940. He has had eight years of experience in public schools and has taught college for seventeen years. He received his Master's Degree and his Doctor of Philosophy Degree from the Eastman School of Music of the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York. Dr. T. Leonard Rowley (Bottom Left) is head of the WSC Theatre Department. During Fall Quarter and part of Winter Quarter Dr. Rowley was on a leave of absence.
