Show Dr. D. L. Letham (Top Left), Department of Physics Chairman, received his B.S. and his M.S. in Physics from the University of Utah. He worked for the Bell Telephone Laboratories for three years before entering the University of California from which he received a Ph.D. in Physics. Dr. Letham then worked in industry for eight years before joining the faculty at Weber State. Chairman of the Geology-Geography Department is Dr. Richard W. Moyle. He received his B.S. and M.S. from B.Y.U. and his Ph.D. from the University of Iowa with a major in Geology. He is the author of various publications. Dr. Moyle has been at Weber since 1965. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, stamp collect-ing, model railroads, photography and crystal collecting. Dr. S. L. Seager (Above) has been head of the Chemistry Department since 1968. He obtained an Associate of Science degree from Weber Jr. College and a B.S. degree in chemistry from the University of Utah. He then went on to receive his Ph.D. in physical chemistry from the University. Dr. Seager has been at Weber since 1961. His hobbies include bowling, jogging and Softball. SCHOOL OF BUSINESS AND ECONOMICS Robert E. Rose, Dean of the School of Business and Economics, joined WSC in 1970. He was formerly Dean of School of Business and Public Administration at Boise State College. Dr. Rose holds a B.A. and M.A. from the University of Northern Colorado and a Ph.D. from the University of Iowa. He is a member of many professional and business organizations, and a former president of Western Business Education Association. The goals of the School of Business and Economics are to prepare for professional accreditation by the American Association of Collegiate Schools of Business, and to revise and strengthen curricular offerings to meet the changing needs of business and to provide leadership in the business field while insuring that our graduates are able to compete in the current sensitive job market. More goals consist of providing general service courses to the students of Weber State College as part of their general education, developing qualities of decision-making, research, leadership, and an understanding of the American economic system, and providing research capabilities for faculty and students and in-service management training for the community through the Center for Business training and Economic Research. |
