Show ANTIGONE An updating of the ancient Grecian play "Antigone" reflected world conditions of 1971: the struggle between the "establishment" who sought to make the world safe for Democracy, and "idealistic youth" who seek to make a world sate tor humanity. Greek costumes were shed after the actors had entered to reveal the modern interpretation of the play-Members of the "Antigone" cast were: Leslie Anne Haws, Antigone; Ralph William Allred, Chorus; Rebecca Flemming Jones, Nurse; Kristin Rose, Ismene; T. H. Wertz, Haemon; Lee Scanlon, Creon; Allan V. Lykins, First Guard; Bob Dawson, Second Guard; Jim Lazenby, Third Guard; Reta Perry, Eurydice; and Aaron Rountree, Musician. Claudia Thomason was Assistant director and stage manager under Ivan A. Crosland, Director. GUYS AND DOLLS Weber's major musical production of the year was Frank Loesser's "Guys and Dolls." The presentation combined the directing of Ronald Wooden, music; John Elzey, stage; and Bonnie Benson Busco, choreography, to make Broadway of 1940 come alive on the the Little Theatre stage. The cast included: Catherine Wright as Sarah Brown; Wesley Wright played Sky Masterson; Charles Stewart. Nathan Detroit; Pat Farr portrayed Adelaide. Other members of the cast were Ken Durrant, Ken Evans, Dennis Steffan, Alan Wiese, James Matthews, Allen Holmes, Bob Dawson, Nels Carlson, Dee Costley, Lynn Sherwood, Bruce Wiese, Robert Glasmann, Kris Garmire, Glenna Lewis, Terry Landvatter, Laura Beech, Karen Soelberg, Richard Gladwell. Van Hadley. Reen Van Borum, and Chris Little. Wanda Whalen's stage designs recreated the era of the play with plenty of splashing color. |
