FEBRUARY 6-David McKay speaks on "Mistress of the Seas." FEBRUARY 7-Big rally for the afternoon's game. The lighting system bill is paid by student body bonds. Fred Jensen tells of army experiences. Weber defeats Kays- ville. Herald dance. FEBRUARY 10-Speech, "General Foch," Carl Ballantyne. Phil Jeppson and Neewa An- derson visit school. Phil gives a speech and Neewa swears. FEBRUARY 12-Patriotic program. Talk by Professor Blaylock. FEBRUARY 13-Vaudeville for girls only. Boys persecute William Dick. Camouflage proves successful. FEBRUARY 14-Weber beats Brigham in the most exciting game of season. One of Ira Terry's eyes turns color. FEBRUARY 15-All British day. FEBRUARY 17-Celebration over victory. Holiday declared with extemporaneous pro- gram. FEBRUARY 20-Weber shuts out High school again on Weber's floor. FEBRUARY 21-Sophs win first effective speaking contest. FEBRUARY 24-Flag presented by the student body. FEBRUARY 25-Magdelen Gill speaks on "The Things Worth While in Education." Bas- ketball: Weber 37, Alumni 13. The Alumni were so certain, too. FEBRUARY 28-Juniors win second effective speaking contest. Kaysville hoopsters easily defeated on our floor. Hopes are rising for the division at least. MARCH 3-Dwight Thompson speaks on "Clemenceau, Premier of France." MARCH 5-"Dummies" absolutely routed. Male gets exasperated because Weber did not quite pile the score up to 50. MARCH 7-Brigham comes to Weber with colors flying, confident of success. Doors close thirty minutes before schedule time. Did anybody say "gym?" Score: 31-21. Brigham limps slowly back to her old home town. MARCH 12-B. Y. C. wins the north-northern division championship by defeating South Cache. MARCH 14-At South Cache: Weber 34, B. Y. C. 19. Now for Salt Lake City and the state. MARCH 17-Holiday postponed till the tournament is played. Freshmen give matinee. MARCH 18-Noticeable lack of business at Tom's. Somebody is trying to save money. MARCH 19-Enthusiasm grows. MARCH 20-Weber loses to B. A. C. in Salt Lake. Oh! What a game! Several students were treated for heart trouble. MARCH 21-Weberites cheer up a little when Bingham is easily defeated. MARCH 22-B. A. C. surprises everyone with her idea of sportsmanship. Weber walks away from Wasatch. MARCH 24-State champions!! Bingham defeated, 44 to 25. MARCH 25-Grand holiday. Reception for the team. Extemporaneous program in de- votional. Big dance at night. MARCH 26-William Kasius speaks in devotional on "The Labor Situation and the Com- ing Election." MARCH 28-"Mice and Men" plays in Garland. The first view of the "opera house" al- most knocks the cast over. |
