Although some areas of information are covered in detail, much of the content is presented in a general way. Program requirements reflect curricula approved through April, 1994. Subsequent decisions may affect the accuracy of the details appearing here. Students should refer to the official schedule of classes which is available before and during each quarterly registration period. The catalog is not to be considered a binding contract between Weber State and any student or other institution. Weber State reserves the right to change its regulations or course offerings as conditions require during the period of any student's attendance. Statement of Policy It is the policy of Weber State University to provide equal opportunity in all its programs and activities in compliance with Title VI and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title IX of the Educational Amendments of 1972, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Vocational Amendments of 1976, and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Right-to-Know Disclosure The primary mission of Weber State University is to provide quality undergraduate education. Students are admitted on the basis of an admissions index. The curriculum emphasizes the improvement of skills, the acquisition of knowledge and the development of character. The campus population includes some 15,000 students. Most students commute to campus and nearly 40 percent are 25 years of age or older. Sixty-four percent of full-time, first-time freshmen from the Fall 1991 class also took classes at Weber State in the Fall of 1992. |
