Show Accreditation Weber State is regionally accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges. All applied technical education programs are fully accredited by the Utah State Office of Vocational Education. Teacher education programs are fully accredited by the National Association of State Directors of Teacher Education and Certification. Although some areas of information are covered in detail, much of the content is presented in a general way. Program requirements reflect curricula approved through April, 1995. Subsequent decisions may affect the accuracy of the details appearing here. Students should refer to the official schedule of classes which is available before and during each quarterly registration period. The catalog is not to be considered a binding contract between Weber State and any student or other institution. Weber State reserves the right to change its regulations or course offerings as conditions require during the period of any student's attendance. Rivera Supervisor: Clara Rae Puffer Location: Administration Building , Room 210 moving to Student Service Center, Room 101 Telephone: 626-6743 Admission Policy An application for admission must first be completed and submitted to the Weber State University Admissions Offices before a student can enroll in classes. In order to process the application, a non-refundable fee will be assessed at the time of submission. Applications for the 1995-96 academic year should be submitted according to the following deadlines. Pre-term Autumn quarter Winter quarter Spring quarter Summer quarter Application Deadline August 18, 1995 July 1, 1995* December 29, 1995 March 22, 1996 June 14, 1996 Classwork Starts August 21, 1995 September 25,1995 January 2, 1996 March 25, 1996 June 17, 1996 * Preferred deadline; applications will be accepted after this date. International applicants need to have their application and supporting documentation to the Admissions office 60 days prior to the start of the quarter in which they wish to enroll. However, if the accepted student does not enroll for the quarter they were admitted, they need to notify the Admissions Office of the quarter they wish to enroll. Important: All documents submitted by applicants who do not enroll will be kept on file for one year; after which, they will be discarded. Admission Requirements for Specific Academic Departments A number of specific programs, departments, and colleges require a separate application and require additional information specific to their academic areas. More detailed information is available by department within this catalog. Students are encouraged to contact the academic department in which they are interested. Admission Process Freshmen Students The following students will be considered for admission according to the new freshmen requirements: - Students who have never attended any college or university. - Students who graduated from high school in the 1995-96 school year, even if they have completed college level coursework. - Transfer students with less than 45 quarter credit hours (30 semester hours).
