A intensive and detailed study of music form. Two quarter hours. Autumn. Parry 8. Appreciation: Opera. A course devoted to a technical consideration and careful analysis of several great operas. Two quarter hours. Winter. Parry 9. Appreciation: Symphony. A detailed study of several great symphonies in which emphasis is given to form and instrumentation. Two quarter hours. Spring. Parry 10: Elementary Harmony. A course devoted to the study of chord construction. Open only to students of ability and training. Prerequisite: Solfeggio or its equivalent, and the ability to read music. Three quarter hours. (No credit given for less than three quarters' work). Autumn. Johnson 11. Elementary Harmony.
