Show Bits and Pieces Sherry Morris, who teaches English at Sand Ridge Junior High School, received the Standard Examiner's Apple for the Teacher Award. Todd Spencer was elected as president of the Junior Class at Fremont High School for the 2004-2005 school year. Kellie Slater received an Academic Letter Award, HOSA, from Fremont High School. Marcie Spencer placed third in the 1600 meter relay race at the State Track Meet. Tanner Meyerhoffer and Zack Spencer were honored as 6th Grade Peer Helpers at West Weber Elementary School. Erin Spencer was selected as the recipient of the Elks Jr. Teenager of the Year Award. Aubrey Dimick will be a cheerleader for Rocky Mountain Junior High School for the 2004-2005 school year. She also appears on the High Honor Roll. Kiera Dimick and Dalton Aiken also are listed on the High Honor Roll for that school. Abby Westmoreland was selected as a cheerleader for Fremont High School for the coming year. Josh Dimick received his Eagle Scout award in May. Joanie Milne received a Bachelors Degree in Horticulture from Utah State University. She has been hired as the new Assistant Landscape Designer at Lagoon. Darrell Mecham celebrated his 80th birthday with his family. He was born on May 21, 1924. J. Leland Stanger celebrated his 90th birthday at an open house on May 29, 2004. He was born May 28, 1914. |
