A year 2000 picture of Alexander Holley vehemently protesting a visit to Santa Claus was featured in the Standard Examiner on December 12, 2004. Lindsey Slater was a member of Fremont High School's girls cross country team who traveled to Portland, Oregon, on Saturday, December 4, 2004, to participate in the first-ever Nike Team Nationals cross country championships.
