An outline of nursing history beginning with the earliest conceptions of nursing, and tracing its development through the various epochs of history. Decker Leslie Lyman Price Edward Christian Larsen Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Type A George Lester McPheeters This course is planned to meet the needs of young men who desire to prepare themselves for practical entrance into the new field of air conditioning and refrigeration. Shop Practice. A course devoted to shop work consisting of sheet metal duct work and other units, such as, cooling, evaporative condensors, shell and tube heat exchangers, expansion valves, controls, pumps, motors, blowers, fabrication and erection problems. Students do actual work in the shop on all types of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment. Practices followed in the shop resemble those followed in industry. Five hours terminal credits each quarter. Autumn, Winter, Spring. Trade Technical. A course covering the technical phases of shop practice and fundamental information necessary to do the work of the trade. Four hours terminal credit each quarter. Autumn, Winter, Spring. Trade Related. A course including the necessary related information needed by a learner to become a first class workman eligible to enter the trade as an advanced apprentice. The work includes codes, trade mathematics, labor problems, employer-employee relationship, sheet metal drafting and other trade information. Three hours terminal credit each quarter. A course devoted to training which covers the following units: safety and equipment, car appraising, car preparation, body metal, light correction, axles, springs, shock absorbers, frame and bumper straightening, radiators, hoods and lights, body frames, body panels, tops, body mechanism, glass, upholstery and trimming, body accessories, wiring, paint reconditioning.
