Public hearing on resolution adopting of FY 2004- 05 final budget. 7. Public hearing on ordinance repealing and reenacting Title 11 as the Uniform Building Standards by adopting certain building codes recently revised by the relevant state agency, adopting such codes by reference, and making technical changes. 8. This agenda is tentative and items can and will change. LOCAL UPDATES Comcast Excavations. As you may already know, Comcast is moving cable television lines on power poles underground throughout the community. As with any large scale excavation, problems may arise. To protect the integrity of the roads, the city prohibits road and driveway cuts, unless there is no other alternative. Please contact the city if you have any questions on this matter. Commuter Rail. UTA wants your input. The draft environmental study is available for public comment between April 30-June 15 at the city office. Now is the time to learn about commuter rail. A public open house is schedule May 27, 2004, at the Ogden Union Station, 2501 Wall Avenue, at 8:00 p.m. You can also submit your comments at: www.rideuta.com. Road Projects. During the spring and summer there will be various road repairs. A portion of Pioneer Road, below 2000 West will be chip sealed 1200 West has been damaged over the recent winter and will be rehabilitated from 700 South to 200 South. 1700 South will be patched in places. Please be mindful of the road maintenance. Public Hearings. A public hearing is different from regular governmental meetings. In regular meetings, the governing body generally does not take comments from the public. However in a public hearing, the public can speak to the issues slated for action and give comment on such as each person desires. The city council will be holding a series of public hearings at its May 20, 2004, meeting as outlined above to take public comment on ordinances and resolutions relating to zoning map changes, budget amendments, budget approval, and other matters.
