Show 124 Transfer students must meet the matriculation requirements and also the specified academic standards of the Department. ACADEMIC STANDARDS OF THE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT To remain in good standing in the Engineering Department, the student must maintain at least the following grade point average on both a cumulative and a quarter basis: First quarter, 1.50; second quarter, 1.75; third quarter, 1.90; fourth quarter and all subsequent quarters, 2.00. Students failing to maintain the above scholarship requirements will be placed on Departmental academic probation. Any student who fails to maintain the above scholarship requirements for two successive quarters may be refused further registration in the Engineering Department until such time as he demonstrates to the satisfaction of the Division Committee and to the College Guidance Committee that he is likely to profit by such reinstatement.
