Clarisse H. Hall worked at Weber State University (then Weber College) from 1926-1962. She was the first full-time registrar at Weber College and revamped the registration process by switching from a registration day to registration appointments, which was implemented at other institutions of higher education across the state. After retiring she was the Weber Historian from 1963-1966, the first woman to hold this title. During that time she wrote a history of several aspects of college life at Weber, including this publication from 1973. |

The Board could canvass carefully the Weber College budget, its expenditures and monetary policies, make suggestions, and support the final product before the Legislature, the Board of Examiners, or the Finance Commission, as the case might be. E. The Board could work aggressively to make the Ogden area more college conscious: 1. By promoting the cultural activities of the college and community. 2. By showing the economic advantages of Weber College to the community. 3. By showing the educational advantages of Weber College to the Community. 4. By encouraging the youth and the adults of the area not to sell themselves short through being satisfied with temporary, unreliable blind-alley jobs when they should be aiming toward long-range career plans that develop them for greater service to their country, their community, and their home. F. The Board would, after careful study, develop cooperatively with the faculty and community a college program which would successfully overcome the deadening discrimination leveled against the youth and adults of this area on account of unfair state and federal restrictions. |
