She was the first full-time registrar at Weber College and revamped the registration process by switching from a registration day to registration appointments, which was implemented at other institutions of higher education across the state. After retiring she was the Weber Historian from 1963-1966, the first woman to hold this title. During that time she wrote a history of several aspects of college life at Weber, including this publication from 1973. |

Show 66 family: It is recommended that Weber College quitclaim its interest in Bertha Eccles Hall to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at the present time rather than wait for the transfer of the old campus back to the Church. It is planned that the Ogden Arts Council will enter into an agreement with the Church to permit the Council to operate this building as a cultural center for the promotion of art, music, drama, etc. The Ogden Arts Council is a non-profit corporation and serves as a coordinating agency for many groups in the Ogden area that are interested in the promotion of cultural activities. This Council has sufficient financial support to completely renovate this building and operate and maintain it in a desirable way. In a meeting of the Utah State Board of Education held July 10, 1959, the recommendation to transfer the Bertha Eccles Hall to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was approved, and on July 28, 1959, the State Board of Examiners also approved the transfer. |
