85 The fellows wanted to become more a part of student life and student politics. They took the lead in Weber's campaign for more spirit in the school, and they themselves showed a great deal of school spirit by becoming active in school affairs. The fellows participated in a ping-pong tournament, which they won, and also in a pool tournament. Practically all of the fellows enrolled as charter members in the Frenisti Social Club. A Frenisti Coat of Arms was placed above the dorm archway and the dorm sign was placed on the outside of the building. Life in the dorm remained about the same during the remainder of the school year. A student by the name of James Osmond gave his reaction to an evening at the dorm when he wrote the following poem, which was published in the Signpost on January 10, 1947: Night at the Dorm I sit amidst the turmoil, the chaos and the roar, And tremble 'neath the tempest of my room-mates lusty snore. Some radios are playing, a phonograph or two And some dope next door keeps reciting "Dangerous Dan McGrew." There's singing in the washroom and running down the halls And others, just to make a noise are banging on the walls. I'll tell you this for certain, there are no "iffs" or "buts" If they don't bed-down pretty soon They're going to drive me "NUTS."
