Show WSC Senators met to decide the fate of the newly written Weber State College Constitution which was voted on in November by the student body. SENATE FINISHES NEW CONSTITUTION The new Constitution, which took more than a year to write, was approved in November by the student body. Former Student Body President Jack Suttle-myre called a Constitutional Convention to write the new document in 1966. Purpose of the fifteen member group was to realign student government with the college's re-organization into four academic schools. The revised student law called for senators from the four areas - business, education, technology, and arts, letters, and sciences. Additional innovations included higher academic standards for student officers and an Executive Vice President to handle badly needed public relations and communications for the Associated Students. LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE AT PARK CITY The little Indian "Keeko" and the Keys to Quality Leadership created the theme for the 1967 Fall Leadership Conference at Park City. Speaker Sterling W. Sill was an inspiration to the student leaders. The Leadership Committee also sponsored a High School Workshop and a Winter Retreat for the campus leaders. The Committee's goal was to encourage leaders to practice the qualities of leadership all year long.
