FROSH COMPLETE BEST SEASON EVER Weber State's 1968 freshman basketball team racked up the best record ever for a Wildcat first year team with a 14-4 record. Big Willie Sojourner, the Kittens 6 8 pivot man stamped himself as a future great and an Ail-American candidate by setting a new frosh rebound record of 259 boards in eighteen games for a 14.4 average. His scoring mark of 21.3 was not a record, but it was the best since Greg Harrop's record of 22.5 set in 1964. The young Cats closed the season with an 81-63 lacing of Utah State and that win coupled with a 62-59 victory over 4th ranked Boise Junior College were highlights of the season. Weber whipped Idaho State's frosh three times to add to the year's success.
