Aid Team Available For | Demonstrations The Ben Lomond High School ROTC Battalion’s First Aid Team will be available for demonstrations of first aid principles. The team demonstrates various methods of controlling bleeding, artificial respiration, splinting of fractures, and of treating burns. They will perform for any organization that desires. their services. To schedule a demonstration, contact Master Sergeant Fiscara at the Ben Lomond High School ROTC. Department. Presents Concert The Ben Lomond High School | music department presented its | annual Fall Concert on Nov. 9. This was the first concert that | an admission charge was required. The reason for this was | : to raise beginning funds for | | some badly needed band uni-| : forms. M.SGT. The Orchestra, Bonnie’ Aires, Concert Band, A _ Cappella Choir, and Dance Band all participated on the program. The highlight of the concert was “Sine Nomine,” a number combining all of the groups but the orchestra. Mr. Freestone, a new teacher at Ben Lomond this year, was the director of the A Cappella Choir and the mass number. Mr. Archibald, with the assistance of student teacher Steven Miller, directed the remaining groups. Mike Moosman was selected as the Cadet of the Month for October. The Military Board selected him on November the Ist. Cadet ‘M.Sgt. Moosman, a member of D Company, competed against representatives from three other companies. For his achievement he will receive a bottle of Shackle from Tanner’s, tickets for two shows at the Egyptian and the Orpheum Theatres. He will also receive a dinner for two at the Canton Cafe. Cadet M.Sgt. Kenton Wall was selected as the runner-up. Cadet M.Sgt. Wall is a member of A Company. He will receive a free cleaning for his uniform from Hoffman Cleaners. To be nominated for this honor, a cadet must have an A average with no demerits and possess high qualiities of integrity. |
