Johnson, George RAY ETCHEVERRY Ben Lomond’s track team had an excellent year. First, they had a perfect 6-0 dual meet record. They won the city championship, acquiring more points than the second and third place teams combined, 127. Next, they won the region championship with the most points ever scored—93—in a region meet. Finally, thirteen men who qualified for the state meet went to South High intent on bringing home a trophy. They succeeded, but a _ seven-point deficiency gave them second place instead of first.
