The annual Christmas Program was held on Sunday, December 21, 2008. The theme was entitled “The Real Reason for the Season’ with scripture reference from Luke 2:11 & 14. Under the direction of Bro. Dennis Carpenter, Bro. Charles Dalton and Sis. Evelyn Nixon, the program was a tremendous success! Several ministries contributed by way of skits, songs and speeches. Deacon and Deaconess Nunn gave out fruit bags to all the youth. ~3 Aue * The Children of the King dance ministry performed on the third Sunday as their contribution to the Christmas celebration. aS e - | = ¥ * The Youth held a Christmas Party on Saturday night prior to the Celebration. Without your support this event would have not been a wonderful success! We appreciate Bro. Dennis Carpenter for his leadership as the Youth Director during the year. Bro. Carpenter has decided to continue his education and will be tied up with classes and working in the coming year. Sis. Connie House has accepted the position of Youth Director for the year 2009. The youth and Youth Advisors continue to send up prayers for both Bro. Carpenter and Sis. House as they go forth in their new endeavors. * Sis. Malia Nixon for her acknowledgment on being an excellent student at her receiving the ‘first grade student doing second grade work” award and for completing the ABC Mouse booklet at her elementary schoo!! * Bro. Hunter Thompson (Senior at Layton Christian Academy) on being selected as one of the members voted to the “Standard Examiner's All Area Football First Team!” Sis.
