Another Chance... A new year has begun and God has given us another chance to make those “new year” resolutions we make each and every year, at least that’s what most of us think! We are not given a new year to MAKE resolutions; we are given another chance to KEEP resolutions. We speak out of our mouths, yet we hardly ever put our words into action for long. We do not say “we will start out doing this or that”, we say “we will do this or that”, yet, we do not follow through. What if Jesus’ journey into the world and His reason for it halted halfway each new year. Promises like going to church every Sunday, attending Bible Study, and Sunday School, working harder in the church, and pledging a vow to God to help build the Kingdom. What are you going to do with your chance? Let us remember the reason for the season, Christ has come to give us another chance. Let us take hold to the blessings of Christ’s birth and mold our lives after His. Let us give gifts in celebration of His coming; gifts of love, forgiveness and service.
