HOMECOMING COMMITTEE views posters of homecoming events in anticipation of successful week. Parade Heads Activities ‘Band Plays The 1965 WSC Homecoming Parade will start from 28th and Washington, Saturday morning at 11;00 a.m. and move norththrough town to 21st and Washington. The parade, featuring Queen Susan Anthony and her attendants, Nancy Wilson and Tamyra Bailey, along with alumni officers and a bevy of antique cars with alumni aboard, will contain floats sponsored and built by WSC social clubs and organizations. The sponsored floats will be judged by Mr. Vaughn Perkins, Mrs. David J. Dehlin, and Mr. Duff Ross. Trophies will be given in four categories: Men’s Division first place; Women’s Division first place; Special Division first place; and Sweepstakes, best of the Parade. ; Bands from four high schools will join the WSC Band in marching in the parade and later will participate in forming a huge USA on the football field before the game for the National Anthem. Night The United States Air Force Band and their choir of Singing Sergeants will present. their program to alumni, students and townspeople Saturday night at 8:15 in the Auditorium. Fine Arts Center oe The Band and choir, worldrenowned United States ‘‘diplomats’’, will present a program ranging from jazz to opera, modern classics to western. The presentation time has been scheduled so that students and’ alumni wishing to attend both the concert and the Homecoming dance may do so.
