MUSIC AT WEBER STATE The Department sponsors the A Cappella Choir, Chorale, Weber State Singers, Voce Coeds, Opera Theatre, Marching Band, Symphonic Band and Orchestra; and, in cooperation With the Evening School, the Weber State-Ogden Symphonic Choir and Orchestra. The Bachelor of Science with a composite teaching major in Music Education is available to students who wish to teach music in the public schools. The program is designed to provide the student with a wide background of music. The Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science with a Departmental major in music is available to students who plan to teach music privately or to enter some phase of the music industry. The Music\Department is housed in the beautiful new Fine Arts Center, which in addition to providing faculty offices, classrooms, individual practice rooms and instrumental and choral rehearsal rooms, also provides three performance areas: the Auditorium, the Little Theatre and the Cellar Theatre, all of which are available for concerts, —P~. recitals and staged events.
