Weber State Band Provides by Dan Shenefelt Signpost Staff Writer Student of Weber State! Do you know that the Weber state College Marching Band is just about the most commendable organization on the campus? Members of this band are soc- iable, cheerful, and amiable. They are behind Weber State all the way. They are _ unified. But above all, they have spirit. Talent? Yes, the WSC Marching Band is talented too. This band gives football fans one ofthe most spirited and energetic half time shows in the Mountain West. Our band is noted in many circles for its fast cadence and gooddelivery. Donald Threlkeld (Better known to band members as ‘Mr. ‘T’.’’) directs the band with pride. He has been on the faculty as WSC for four years and director of the band for two. ‘Says Mr. ‘¢These kids are great.’’ Three very talented tractive girls hold T”’, and _ at- positions of 1a/4 Thrilling Entertainment high fans status alike. with band members and Candy Draayer, Lynn Draney (this year’s and Lyn Dowhower Miss Ogden), are the baton twirlers who dazzle quite a few eyes during the half-time performance. This year Ron Bennet and Don Darling are the drum majors. Bennet is a native Texan and Darling _. @ native Californian -and both are highly skilled and coordinated.
