Every service group on our campus brings prestige to our school. The basketball teams may be conference champions, but it means nothing if the school does not support them. Most likely they would never have reached this point without student support. Ask any athlete; he will tell you that he does his best when the crowd is there to cheer him on his way. To us, the students of Weber State College, the various musical organizations are also groups that serve us and should not be overlooked. Every activity undertaken by these people brings prestige and honor to our school. Some of the most talented students in the area attend Weber. They strive to make Weber rate among the best, but they need your support. The band has been greatly honored for its service to the school. On the evening of March 2 the Weber State Symphonic Band will - present a public concert. Some of the great names in music in this state wil be inattendance. You are urged to be there also. The opinion that these great men will carry back with them, will be raised by the support you the studentbody will give the band. Just as with the ball player who plays at his best when the crowd is large, so it is with musicians. No one likes to play to an empty auditorium. — ‘Mary Poppins’ Band Concert The present Weber State band will its Spring concert next at 8 p.m. in the Fine Arts Monday Center.
