This will allow all present majors in the program to finish degree requirements. All present students have been notified. This includes: Institutional Certificates, Institutional Diplomas and Associate of Applied Science. The program will be changed to a Technology support program for Diesel Service Technology, Automotive Service Technology, Auto Body Technology, Manufacturing, Machine Tool, Electronics, Maintenance and the College in general. Program: Welding-Associate of Applied Science Degree General Requirements: A minimum of 94 credit hours. Courses in major field require a minimum of 68 credit hours. Engl 101 (3) and 102 (5) or Commun 102 (3), Engl 210 (3). At least 20 hours from the General Education courses listed in the catalog, with at least one course in each of the four areas; Humanities HU, Natural Science NS, Social Science SS, and Personal Development PD. Engl 101 (3). Specific Requirements: Minimum of 30 hours in Welding courses. Welding courses required: Weldng 101 (5), 102 (5), 103 (5), 104 (5), 105 (5), 106 (5). Support courses required: Reltec 101 (4); Dgtech 115 (3); Machtl 127 (3). Electives: 4 credits selected with adviser. Program: Welding-Institutional Diploma, Welding Technology General Requirements: Completion of Welder Operator General Program.
