Show 6000 ATTEND CLASSICALIA Jollity Runs Riot in High School's Annual Carnival March 19 1922 Judged from the point of attend-1 ance, decorations, costumes, high spirits, fouth and beauty, the Ogden high school annual Classicalia held at the school last night was the most successful of any similar event in the history of the school. Principal A. M. Merrill said that I the attendance last year was GOOD, calculated on the basis of the number of tickets sold, and that judged by the throng's last night that record would be broken. Miss Mayme Wright was queen and assisted by Miss Sherma Hendershot seated at her right and Miss B. Harris on her left viewed the costumed couples that passed before her throne and awarded the prize to Miss Myrene § Rich and Miss Patricia Healy. PRIZE AWARDED. The T. N. T. booth \<s awarded the prize for the most beautiful booth. Seated in it dressed as Egyptian maidens and wearing, masks were Miss Bettie Hurst, Miss Kate Clinton, Miss Marion Cross and Miss Helen Keating. • The color scheme that predominated was gray, white, pink, and sweet peas, while the large assembly room was decorated to represent a Japanese umbrella. Moving constantly through the assembly hall were the various couples dressed in costumes ranging from South Sea islanders to kings, queens and jokers. Mirth was unconfined, jollity ran riot and youth reigned supreme for the night. A feature of the occasion that won Instant approval both from those who S I entered and from those Who came out I was the trip through Hell. WEIRD EFFECTS. Braithwaite. Nine booths entered the competition' for the prizes and the judges 1 hadconsiderable difficulty in deter- I milling as to which would be award- I esjthe second and third places. These I were finally given to the sophomore I booth and the senior booth, the soph- I omore booth getting second place and I the senior booth third place.
