ADAMS HERYFORD 309 Dartmouth Street, Coalinga, California 93210 935-1978 Graduated from Heap's Beauty College in Ogden. Moved to Fresno, California. Graduated from business college and worked as secretary for Division Sales Manager of the Pacific Gas & Electric Company. Retired after 20 years and moved to Coalinga, California. Married to Dale L. Heryford, two grown sons, two grandsons. Now "a happy housewife having a love affair with life." Hobbies: painting, horticulture and going to their "heavenly" hide-away at Morro Bay, California. KENNETH E. ALLEN 4281 Orchard Avenue, Ogden, Utah 84403 479-7159 Following high school graduation, worked at Utah General Depot and then at Hill Air Force Base as a mechanic learner in parachutes and fabrics. Drafted into the Army Air Corps in 1942 and served in India, Burma and China, working in parachutes. Discharged in 1946 and rehired at Hill Air Force Base as a firefighter. Retired in 1974 as an Assistant Fire Chief. Worked with Real Estate Associates since that time. Married to Avalon Baird. Three sons: oldest, David, died in 1972, Douglas has four daughters and Brent two daughters. Hobbies: golf, square dancing, rock hounding and tennis. Traveled and trailer camped many places, including Europe, Mexico, Canada and Hawaii. Active in L.D.S. Church. FRANK L. ALLRED P. O. Box 146, Eden, Utah 84310 745-3984 Attended Weber State College before entering U. S. Air Force in 1942. Piloted B-17 bombers during World Ward II. After returning from England, married Missy Souther of Lakeland, Florida. Two daughters, one son, four grandsons, four granddaughters. After leaving the Air Force, worked as a salesman in auto parts and in 1961 opened an auto parts store - Allco Auto Parts & Distributing in Ogden. At present owns and operates five stores in area. Enjoys boating, fishing, hunting and foreign travel - visited Spain, Monoco, France, Africa, Brazil, Venezuela, Bahamas, St. Martin and Hawaii. BARBARA ARNOLD WALSTON 3263 East Sierra, Fresno, California 93710 299-6704 Attended Weber College, majoring in business administration. Completed managerial courses at Univ. of Michigan and at Berkeley, California. Employed by U. S. Government 30 years, 15 years with Internal Revenue Service. First woman Branch Chief at Ogden Service Center, currently Division Chief at Fresno Service Center, managing an operation of three branches and 1,000 employees. Has traveled on assignment to various IRS offices throughout the United States. Married to Clifford O. Walston. One daughter Diana who holds a masters degree in Special Education and is currently principal of Lakeview Elementary School. One grandson, aged 6. FRANK D. ARNOLD 12833 Layhill Road, Silver Spring, Maryland 20906 933-3698 Attended Weber College, University of Calfiornia at Berkeley and University of Utah. Holds B.S. degree in Zoology, M.S. degree in Entomology and Ph.D in Environmental Sciences. Awarded three graduate research fellowships. Served in Salt Lake City and Davis County health departments, was self employed as a consultant and advisor in all aspects of hospital sanitation, institutional environmental health, etc. Was director of Environmental Health and Safety University of Utah and then Environmental Consultant, Health Care Facilities Service, U. S. Public Health Service. Is currently with the Public Health Service, Department of Health, Education and Welfare in Rockville, Maryland as Scientist Director and Liaison Officer to the Surgeon General and other governmental agencies. Resigned as Lieut. Colonel, Medical Service Corps, USAR Faculty, Command and General Staff College, USAR School to accept current government position. Author or co-author of fifteen ore more scientific publications. Listed in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Government, Who's Who in Health Care, Who's Who in the East. Membership in numerous environmental health organizations, Married to Lola Holmes, two daughters, Kristen in real estate in Salt Lake City, Jerilyn a nurse in San Francisco. LA MAR ALLRED BROWN 1695 North 4150 West, Ogden, Utah 84404 731-1278 Attended Weber College for two years. Worked in Finance Division at Defense Depot, Ogden, for 26 years. Currently supervisory cashier. Married Raymond Brown. Two sons, five granddaughters. Both sons have followed military service so traveling has been to various places to visit them. Latest trip was to Germany in April to see newest granddaughter and her two sisters. Hobbies: picture taking of granddaughters and attending the horse races with husband. LAWRENCE E. Vice President of Templeton Linke & Alsup for 20 years, President of Alsup & Aldrich for three years and now Vice President of PM Engineers, Inc. Past President of Consulting Engineers Council of Utah, Past Chairman of American Waterworks Association. Married to Lois Ilium (now deceased), has five children. LOIS ATKINSON RHEES 17550 Orna Drive, Granada Hills, California 91344 360-6216 Married to Curtis S. Rhees; two daughters, both married, no grandchildren. Travels extensively with husband - has visited 27 countries. Plays a lot of golf. Does volunteer work at a local hospital. DEANE W. BAGGS 2230 Jackson Avenue, Ogden, Utah 393-3267 Attended Moench University of Business and Weber College. Served three years in Air Force in the European Theater during World War II. Returned to work at Hill Field, supervising the management of Air Force training device, and spare parts, ground photographic equipment and aircraft landing gear. Retired in 1978. Active L.D.S. Church: served as counselor in four bishoprics, bishop for five years. Married Rose Marie Barnes, three daughters and one son, all married; five grandchildren. Fourth daughter died of cardiac arrest following open heart surgery in 1978. MARJORIE ANDELIN CRITTENDEN Route 1, Box 115-B, Morgan, Utah 829-3910 Attended Weber College and U.S.C. in Los Angeles, California, majoring in art. Married Don N. Crittenden who is a school teacher. Lived in Idaho, Roosevelt, Utah and Morgan, Utah. Served as craft counselor at Girl Scout and VWCA camps. Active L.D.S. Church, served as teacher in different organizations, on M.I.A. Stake Board and Relief Society Stake Presidency. Interests: creative crafts and art, fancy stitchery, quilting and flowers. Major accomplishment: designed and built a home in Morgan, husband and sons doing most of the work. Four sons and one daughter. Oldest boy died in the Navy at age 20. Eight grandchildren. Currently works as a floral designer at Klenke Floral in Ogden. MYRA BALLARD RIOPEL 2137 Victoria Avenue, Anaheim, California 92804 772-0543 Married in 1941 to Don Henry, employed by General Foods Company. Lived in Ogden; Pocatello, Idaho; El Paso, Texas and Anaheim, California. Two sons, Scott and Mike; one daughter Susan with three children. Oldest son killed in action in Vietnam in 1968. Divorced in 1963. Now a brand new bride! Married in February to Dewey Riopel, a printer with National Cash Register Company, and enjoyed a honeymoon in May aboard the Sun Princess to the Caribbean. Employed with California Federal Savings & Loan for 17 years, beginning as a receptionist, working up to escrow officer. Presently manages escrow department at new office in Huntington Beach, California. |
