Returned to Logan for teaching credentials. Taught Weber High 10 years. B.A. and M.A. at Cat State, Los Angeles and Pepperdine Univeristy. Taught 15 years in Arcadia, California. Health reversals. Retired! Active in L.D.S. Church, holding many and varied positions. Currently High Priest group leader. Children: Judy, graduate University of Hawaii, 4 and 2/9 children; Paul, graduated Cal State Long Beach, recently moved to Kaysville, 4 children, Richard in Cypress, California 1-1/3 children. John Paul, O.U. University, now in Colorado Springs, married, one son Eric Grant; daughter Nancy attending University of Nevada. Worked for several years at Hospital Dental Clinic, Fort Sill, Oklahoma, then opened private dental practice in 1953. February 1975 had coronary by-pass surgery "which left me with loss of vision and coordination." Retired from practice. Still types and has finished two books, working on third. Listens to books, works out at YMCA, travels a bit and enjoys condominium life. Graduated from University of Pacific in Stockton, California, majoring in Education. Just finished 20 years as teacher for Stockton Unified School District. Just entered the field of Special Education and presently working with children with language disabilities. Husband also graduate of Ogden High. Active members of Baptist Church. Watkins (later to be senator), two federal positions. Traveled to Tachikawa, Japan to join husband, William H. Green, Jr., serving as L.D.S. Chaplain in U. S. Army. Also lived six years in Numberg, Baumholder, Kitzingen, Germany. Traveled extensively in Europe. Husband assigned to Califronia, Colorado and Texas. Enjoyed living in these beautiful places. Moved to Bountiful, Utah in 1971 upon husband's retirement as Lt. Col. Active in L.D.S. Church: YWMIA and Relief Society Stake Boards, Relief Society president, teacher. Loves trailer traveling, square dancing, gardening, sewing, genealogy, grandchildren and old friends. Two sons, one daughter, Eldest son and daughter graduates of BYU, now living in California. Youngest son completed L.D.S. mission to Belgium, now at University of Utah. Six grandchildren. Did not finish at college. Was in U. S. Army with famed Japanese-American outfit, the 442nd Infantry Division. Works as poultry technician. Work takes place in Massachuesetts, New Hamphsire and occasionally Maine and Connecticut. Also to Buenos Aires, Argentina. Married to Ayako Yoshida, three children, Carol, Diane and Greg. Hobby: Golf and going out to dinner with wife to many fine restaurants in Boston and surrounding areas. Three grown daughters, Kay Ruth, Lee Ann and Linda Sue, two grandchildren, Eric and Amy. Attended Weber College; moved to Los Angeles in 1946, Chico, California 1962. Secretary to Assistant Principal, Pleasant Valley High School; moved to Yucca Valley, California in 1972. "Am Mo's girl Friday in newspaper business." Loves the desert, friends, kids, grandkids, mom and dad. Not much time for travel but does enjoy taking fifth wheel and going to Northern California, Arizona or Utah. "Greatest accomplishment for me is to be married to a great guy and haveng three lovely daughters." LAPR1EL PAGE CHRISTENSON 852 Wood Street, Ogden, Utah 392-9356 Attended Weber High and graduated from Ogden High, Special education certificate in home economics. Worked nine years with special handicapped children. Cooked for Provo Temple and Granite School District five years. Worked for Civil Service at Ogden Defense Depot, San Francisco and Clearfield Navy Bases. Church affiliation: L.D.S. Relief Society president, stake Primary president, MIA and Sunday School teacher, sang in Tabernacle Choir, special mission to the Utah State Hospital Relief Society. Received special Church assignment to design a float for 24th of July parade in 1959, won first place. Also designed one for Provo Bonneville Ward in 1971, also won first place. Married Norwegian Naval man, Karnof Christenson. Greatest achievement: 6 children, 19 grandchildren, one great grandchild coming in September! Lived in Cache Valley, Ogden, Salt Lake, Provo, traveled extensively in U.S. Hobbies: singing, genealogy, swimming, sewing and cooking. Reitred in 1976 for health reasons. Traveled some, east coast, west coast, Tahiti, Australia and New Zealand. Married to Gladys Welch. Wife turos and does physical therapy patterning. Three sons, one daughter (2 married). One grandchild. Vacationed in Florida in March. Hobbies: hunting, fishing, boating and photography. Employed with Postal Service for thirty two plus years in Ogden, Denver and Salt Lake City. Visited Greece, Italy, Israel, Switzerland and Great Britain. Three children: one son, two daughters, all graduates of B.Y.U. Son lives in Athens, Greece, daughters in Sandy and Logan. Four grandchildren. Lived in Philippines two years, visited Hong Kong, Japan and Hawaii. Teaches piano. Board of Directors, Licking County Art Association, Was president in 1977-78. Settled in San Francisco Bay Area for over 35 years of work in industrial building and project design throughout Western States. After a family oriented life of home, schools, church, Boy and Girl Scouts, professional organizations, community activities, "we looked for less pressure and are now in Boise - which is a tremendous business, cultural and social shock but we find it enjoyable." Have four children, two stepchildren, 13 grandchildren and ten step grandchildren. One daughter lives in Canton, Mississippi so spends a lot of time in the South. Currently a full-time grandmother to a two-year old boy. "A lively one and keeps me plenty busy — but I love it!" Worked in banking at First Security, Commercial Security and Bank of Utah for about 18 years. Retired since 1972. Held several positions in L.D.S. Church. Currently editor of ward newsletter. One daughter, a dietician in Rochester, New York with 2 children; a son who is a train dispatcher in Cheyenne, Wyoming with three children. Worked as clerk, then bookkeeper at Grant Company, then worked at Ogden Arsenal and Hill Field. Married for 35 years to Ralph C. Gladden, a man born and raised in the Southern States. Lived in Orem, Utah; Concord, California; Chicago, Illinois and now Indiana as husband is transferred with his company. Active in L.D.S. Church: Primary president and counselor; Relief Society counselor. Primary and Sunday School teacher and secretray, and now Assistant Librarian. Three children, one boy and two girls, five grandchildren in Ohio and "one living with me in Indiana." Hobbies: quilting, crochet, bowling and family! Served in the Army Chemical Corps and the Air Force during World War II as bombadier, radar navigator. In air research development at Fort Detrick Maryland, technical advisor, USAF in Dayton, USDA research chemist (worked on red grapefruit) in Texas. Took a sabbatical 1958-59 at California Inst, of Technology. Presently a professor of Food Science for U.S.D.A. at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, on sabbatical from the Food Science department at B.Y.U. Served in many L.D.S. church positions, Sunday School teacher, district presidency. Elders Quorum president. High Councilman and Seminary Teacher. Married to Mary Talbot. Two children: Diane living in Denver; Scott married with one son, living in Mesa, Arizona. Hobbies: fishing, hunting, target shooting, and reloading bullets.
