Participated in the invasions of Normandy, Southern France and Leghorn, Italy. Time was spent in the amphibious forces. Discharged in September 1945. Called back to active duty during the Korean conflict and discharged December 27, 1951. Joined the Ogden City Police Department in 1953 and after 25 years service retired on June 30, 1978. Married to Marilyn Pincock. Two sons, Jerry D. who is an Ogden City police officer; John E. who is a Utah State Highway Patrol trooper; two daughters, Sandra Ann at Oxbourrow and Tamara DeLyn, age 12, still at home. Son Douglas manages a moving company, daughter Sheri is with Federal Reserve Bank; daughter Therisa is a legal secretary and studying for C.P.A.; son John is an electric technician; Anthony is with the Santa Rosa Jaycees; Brett graduated from high school in June. Worked for Anderson Jewelry, Marquardt Aircraft and the Internal Revenue Service, retiring from there a year ago. Past president of F.O.E. No. 2422 Auxiiliary of Ogden and past state F.O.E. Auxiliary president. Married Stanley J. Swank, had six children. He passed away in 1968, married James Beech in 1969. Has 5 step-children, nine grandchildren and 14 step-grandchildren. Hobbies: gardening, reading, corcheting and traveling. ROBERT L.SNEDDON 901 East 1140 South, Ogden, Utah 84404 Attended Weber State College, St. Mary's and Colorado State, majoring in physical education. Played football professionally with Washington Redskins, Detroit Lions and Los Angeles Dons. Coahced football at Colorado State and Colorado University. For seven years, sales manager for a national baking company. Back into athletics as a personnel scout for the Dallas Cowboys, Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco Forty-Niners, living in California for 21 years. Returned to reside in Ogden in 1978. At present scouting for San Diego Chargers Football Club, traveling across the United States and Hawaii to major colleges. Married to Jeanne Hulmston (class of 1940). Two daughters, Marilyn and Robyn. Five grandchildren, three boys and two girls. Hobbies: gardening, golfing, bowling and grandchildren. JUNIOR M. Fighter pilot in USAF, World War II. Works in Data Automation as a Computer Systems Administrative Specialist at Hill Air Force Base. Retired from Air Force Reserve with rank of Lt. Colonel. Active member L.D.S. Church. Married to June Fishburn (Class of 1941). Four children, three boys and one girl, one grandson, one granddaughter. One son is serving mission in California. Hobbies: golf, skiing, camping and fishing. Worked with delinquent girls and started a program for school drop-outs. After five years joined staff of the newly organized office of Economic Opportunity as a consultant for Women's Job Corps, Head Start and other community programs. Presently executive director of Golden Hours Center which opened in 1968. Also worked at the Internal Revenue Service as a tax examiner for several years. "Most important job being a wife and mother." Married Don J. Zweifel in 1941, three children, one son, two daughters. Dale, Vicki and Lynette, all married. Five granddaughters, two grandsons, expecting another in October. Husband and son are partners in a typesetting service on 12th Street in Ogden. Active L.D.S. Church. Served as Relief Society president. Primary counselor, Jr. Sunday School coordinator. Currently ordinance worker in Ogden Temple. Hobbies include music, genealogy, grandchildren. Enjoys swimming and bike riding. Homemaker since then moving to California in 1953. Member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority over 30 years. Married 33 years to George H. London, three children (one married daughter, one married son, one single son) and one grandson, four granddaughters. Active L.D.S. Church, particularly in Relief Society positions and activities. Received B.S. degree in Pharmacy in 1951 and immediately moved to state of Oregon. Lived in Vale five years, then moved to Medford. At present employed by BiMart Discount Store, part of the Pay 'n Save Corp. out of Seattle, as Pharmacy Manager. Married to Frances M. Lucido. Three children: Christine (married) with three children; Joanne who is a pharamcist in Grants Pass, Oregon; and Rick, living in Seattle, Washington, working and attending college. Settled in San Francisco in September of 1945. Married to Clifford Espy Wilson. Three children, Lottie, Marguerite and Edward. Four grandchildren, two girls, two boys. Housewife, takes care of grandchildren and "enjoys every minute of it." Hobbies: rockhound, knitting. DR. EUGENE L. Chemist at Tri- State Oil Company in Ogden, engineer with Bureau of Reclamation in Utah. Moved to St. Paul, Minnesota in 1950 as a leader in inorganic applications with the 3M Company. After 13 years returned to Utah as superintendent of materials, materials specialist with Hercules, Inc. in Magna. Professor at University of Utah. Member Society Advancement Material and Process Engineering (president 1975-76). Member American Society Metals. Contributed articles to professional journals. Listed in Who's Who in the West. Married to Margaret Hocking (OHS 1939) four sons, eight grandchildren. Active L.D.S. Church having served as member of stake presidency, bishop, high councilman, MIA and Sunday School president, teacher, dance director, choir director. Travels include all the state except Alaska. Recently visited Mexico, Hawaii, Caribbean, Bermuda. Hobbies: gardening, square dance caller, dancing, fishing, art. Scouts, baseball, traveling, singing and those 8 grandchildren. EARL D. Husband a career government employee. Left "Land of Zion" with husband and two young daughters, Jodie and Laurie, for first overseas assignment in Europe in 1949. Spent 5 years, living in Germany and Belgium. Lived in states for a few years, added two sons to family, Bart and Larry, then spent time in Alaska, then the U.S. and back to Europe to France and England. Again to the states, then in 1970 to Bangkok, Thailand where two sons graduated from high school in Bangkok. Youngest daughter had graduated in Poitier, France. Moved into Van Nuys home and "just made the last payment and burned the mortgage!" Works as secretary at Lockheed California Company in Burbank. "Happy life, with one major tragedy." Husband suffered stroke in 1975, home and able to get about with aid of brace and cane. One daughter Wendy (adopted in 1964). WILLIAM CHARLES URRY 1989 West 5650 South, Roy, Utah 825-0336 Served as bombadier during World War II. Shot down on eighth mission Prisoner of war for 13 months in Germany. Works at Hill Air Force Base. Holds Master Electrician license. Two years ago opened own business, R. & B Electric Company (house or construction wiring) Married to Fae East, eight children, 5 boys, 3 girls, 15 grandchildren under age of seven! MILDRED VAN DYKE MANNING HENDRIX 2327 West Chateau, Roy, Utah 825-8044 Married Bob Manning in 1941. Two daughters, one son. He died in 1965. Married Dean Hendrix of Savannah, Georgia in 1967. With mixed family, "we have six children, eight grandchildren." Hobbies: family, golfing, trailering, bridge. Two children: Daughter Mary Ann graduated Magna Cum Laude from University of Utah at age 20; son Ronald was a Sterling scholar runner-up, foreign languages, 1972 (Russian, Arabic, Spanish). In Navy for three years as weather observer. Pioneered development of pre-fab homes in Utah. Served as president and general manager for Precision Bilt Homes since 1959. Company now employees about 350 people. Married Fern Jackson in 1943. Following her death in 1967 married Barbara Ballif in 1968. Four children, five grandchildren. Active L.D.S. Church and Scouting. Married Arlene Clifford, a registered nurse for McKay Dee Hospital for 20 years. Three daughters, three grandchildren. One married daughter, one a teacher in special education and one a beautician. "Built my own home." Active L.D.S. Church, in two bishoprics, member of high council and now bishop of Ogden 37th Ward. Traveled United States, took wife and children to Hawaii in 1969. MOLLY JEANNE WALLWORK NEWINGTON 7264 Mastin Street, Merriam, Kansas 66203 384-1389 Attended Weber College one year, the University of Utah one year and served three years in the Navy. Married (now divorced) and lived 22 years in Sacramento, California, part of which time on staff with the California Legislature. Joined HUD in Washington, D.C. in 1969 as a Congressional Liaison and was assigned to 45 members (both houses) of Congress as their HUD contact. Moved to Kansas City in 1972 with HUD as Public Affairs Officer and now Intergovernmental Relations Officer for four state region of Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Iowa. Travels on job about 25% of time and "as often as possible on my own." Traveled to 37 states in connection with government work, personal travel remaining states plus Canada, Mexico, Orient, Europe and Africa. Hobbies: bridge, cooking and golf. Entering the Senior Women's Tournaments this year in both Missouri and Kansas, therefore "admitting I'm over 55." Three sons, one daughter, split evenly between California and Midwest. Three grandchildren , all in California. GERALD M. WATERFALL 5504 Chesterfield Drive, Camp Springs, Maryland 20031 449-5603 Attended California Institute of Technology, B.Y.U. and University of Utah. Graduated in electrical engineering. Served in U. S. Navy during World War II. Worked three years at Hill Air Force Base as electrician, after war spent 20 years managing general contracting business in Ogden. In 1967 joined the Federal Aviation Administration in Salt Lake. In 1971 went to FAA in Seattle, Washington as regional lighting engineer. Since 1975 at FAA headquarters, Washington, D.C. as airports electrical engineer. Held local and state positions in Jr. Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis and Chamber of Commerce. Member Board of Directors of Associated General Contractors, life member and former national vice President of Sons of Utah Pioneers. Married Clara Tillotson (Ogden High 1938).
