Show FRIDAY EVENING, NOVEMBER 10 Ogden-Weber Meet Saturday In Grid Feature Tigers Favored In City Championship Contest At Stadium Simkin Makes Changes In Lineup; Preston Will Oppose Loganites Ogden High Tigers and Weber 3 High Warriors engaged in light football drills today as final prepara¬tion for their annual city champion¬ship grid contest, scheduled for the Ogden stadium at two-thirty o'clock Saturday, Both teams are reported to be in splendid physical trim for the headline contest. Saturday's game, incidentally, will be the closing football attraction of the year in Ogden, Ogden is generally favored over Weber but all dope is cast to the four winds when these rivals tangle. the "little jub" emblematic of the city football championship is rest¬ing in the tropy case at Ogden High 'hut Weberites expect to regain the trophy with a victory Saturday. The Tigers have displayed some ifine football during the present season. Last week they met their first league setback at the hands of Box Elder, although they had been doped to win. Weber has played consistent ball. The Warriors gave Box Elder a merry battle and in the opinion of many fans have more than an outside chance to dispose of the Tigers. Coach Mark Ballif of the Weberites has a well coached team. His charges are primed for the closing game of the year. His only comment today was: "We're going to shoot the works against Ogden, win, lose or draw." Coach Baldy Simkin of Ogden High will start four new faces in c his lineup against the Warriors. He anticipates a close battle and of course hopes for an Ogden victory. Dave Scott, general chairman in charge of the game for the Amer¬ican Legion, looks for a fine attendance. "Popular prices will prevail for the annual game," said Mr. Scott today. "Come out and enjoy a real grid thriller." Logan and Preston meet at Lo¬gan Saturday in a crucial league game. A victory for Preston will give them a close slate for the league season. North and South Cache clash on Saturday in another contest of tmerit. North Cache is favored. Box Elder and Bear River are facing each other today at Garland gin the event that Box Elder and Preston win their final league games a play off contest will be necessary to determine the northern division championship.
