During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Show Saturday, May 6 I have done laundry today. Gladys Knowles called. She expects to have Drs Rich & Hancock operate on her Tuesday 9th. Blanch B. Rich gave a nice dinner party this evening at Ben Loman for Dr Junior Rich who came by plane from Bakersfield Calif. a piolit came also. Most of the Browning, Rich & Drs Hancocks families were present. We went up to Juniors home after. Sunday, May 7 Did not attend Sunday School or Fast meeting as Junior will be going back this afternoon & we wish to see him all we can. I am 73 yr old today. Cleone invited us to dinner & had a nice birthcake and gift for me. It is a nice day I stay home most all day Junior & his piolet friend called a few minutes. Myrene, allso Blanch called. Have recd cabegram from Thair in London & letters from Avon, Mary, Junior & phone from Oertel also nice gifts. The dearest family in the world. Monday, May 8 A beautiful Day. Sister Rose Ballantyne spent the afternoon & had lunch with me. She tonight all of our children when small in the 5 Ward Sunday School. A splend teacher & very good women as the girls grew older they all taught kintergarten under her. We had an enjoyable time. She has lived in Calif for 20 years & will return soon. Dr helped Dr Hancock operate this noon at Dee Hospital. Mary wrote that Taylor Peery is in charge of a team for Government etc in Europe is in Eng at present. Tuesday, May 9 Recd announcement of marriage of Lona Udy to LaMar S. Parrish son of Joel & Ivy Perrish of Centerville she a dau of Mr & Mrs J.R. Udy. |
