Success Seen for Junior Concerts With more than 1800 tickets sold for a junior concert series in Ogden and the first concert only a month away, the committee sponsoring concerts for youths met at the home of Mrs. Royal Eccles Friday night to perfect details. Mrs. Maurice Conroy, Mrs. Arnold Felt and Mrs. S. P. Dobbs volunteered to serve as a seating committee for the orderly handling of the hundreds of school children when they assemble in the high school auditorium for the concerts. The pupils will leave their schools at two p. m. for the concerts to be begun at two thirty and then will be returned to the schools for dismissal at four p. m. Gerard Klomp, president of the youth concert movement, has agreed to be chairman of the committee on transoprtation. Lester Hinchcliff, director of music in the public schools, was elected a vice president of the organization to succeed Mark Robinson, resigned. It was announced that no further season tickets will be sold since the number subscribed accounts for available seats in the auditorium. Purchasers range in grades from the fourth up to and including a few in the high school. Outstanding attractions have been contracted for, the standards to be a high as for the senior concert series. The only difference is that the artists will provide programs aimed at directing and holding interest of young listeners.
