During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Eisenhower low Chief in France Allies Close in On 100,000 Doomed Nazis SUPREME HEADQUARTERS, AEF, Aug. 15 Torrents of bombs and shells sealed the narrow corridor open to remnants of the German 7th army trapped in the Normandy pocket today and American and allied armored forces closed in from all sides for a battle of annihilation against perhaps 100,000 doomed nazis. A gap of less than 12 miles, extending from north of Argentan to north of Falaise, had been open to the cornered enemy late last night, but official reports indicated it was being made all but impassable by murderous allied land and air bombardment. Nazis Squirm in Trap 7000 Planes Blast Entire Nazi Fortress Aug 15 Slaughter Fleeing Armies, Wreck 10,000 Rail Units Thursday, August 17 All afternoon and until one A.M. The D.U.P. History Committe were here proof reading six chapters of Weber History, also selected about sixty pictures for same. Those present were Dr Milton Hunter the compiler Bell Wilson Chairman, Gladys Simpson Blaycock & myself. Mrs Rosella Larkin stayed the afternoon. Dr Hunter remained over night here. All were very tired but feel happy over the manuscripts thus far. |
