Thursday, January 16 Dr & I attended the funeral services of G.L. (Geo) Becker at Elks Lodge at 130 P.M. Very lovely Service. Mrs Yono did cleaning. My blood pressure up so I am not doing much. Dr & I recd nice letters from J. Will & Mrs Knight also Dr & Mrs W.H. Petty in thanks & praise of the book Sweet Love Remembered which we sent them for Christmas Friday, January 17 Very cold. Dr was off to the Hospital to meet Dr Junior at a quarter to eight. They operated two apendix cases a hermia & a circumcision this is a sample of what they do very often. Drs cold not much bette he has taken two or three shots of pincilin which has helped. I have written long letters to Richard B. Rich in Vienna Austria U.S. forces to Charles R. Smart at U.L.C.A. Recd a nice letter from Ethal Baker say how much they enjoyed reading & having as a gift Sweet Love Remembered Brother Robert I burton called over the phone & expressed how much he had enjoyed the same book which I had given his sister Martha B Cooley. We are so pleased to know it is being enjoyed. Now I have my corrospondance up I may be able to get some of my scrapbooks fixed up.
