Show Tuesday, May 27 Wednesday, May 28 Dr. William Jasper Kerr, BS 85, chancellor emeritus of the Oregon state system of higher education and a framer of the Utah constitution in 1895, died in April following a long illness. He was one of the six surviving delegates of the constitutional conventions of 1887 and 1895. Appointed president of Oregon State college in 1907, the year he left Utah, he guided the institution for 25 years before becoming a chancellor of the states unified system of education in 1932 and chancellor emeritus in 1938. May 1947 Thursday, May 29 Nels OFlygare died this eveg of a stroke paralyses He was taken sick at 7 pm and died at 930 Friday, May 30 Decoration day, visited Mis OFlygare. Went to Cemetery and to Cleones Mira tired and is sleeping this afternoon |
