Wednesday, February 12 Daughters of Pioneers met here this afternoon to make further plans for their Annual Ball at White City Also Centennial Ball at which the State Queen & attendants will be present The Library of Congress at Washington has over 400 miles of shelves on which rest 6 million books, 10 million manuscripts of American History, nearly 2 million pieces of music and a million and a half maps. It has twenty reading rooms, one of which can accommodate 300 readers. H.W.Bailey Albert Lea, Minn. Thursday, February 13 Cleone & I spent most of the day in Salt Lake City. I spent two hr. with Mr Loyd Snedaker on finial plans of a new home which we hope to build this summer & next winter tho labor is very high & materials scarce & high. Saturday, February 15 Taylor Peery came via plane from Palo Alto. Brought us some beautiful flowers from their garden. He had supper with us & spent the evening. Royal, Cleone & Junior came down. He stayed over night reports his family all very well & Dick studying the violin. I finished up iorning & went to bed 12 midnight.
