Description	This collection contains 74 diaries of Dr. Edward Rich and his wife Almira. They begin in 1892 and run through 1965. The bulk of this collection centers on Almira's diaries that run from 1897-1947. During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins.

OCR Text	Show Thursday, October 2 Did not go to Mrs Frank Browns Tea in the canyon. Beautiful weather and we have fine contractors for building our home and we hope to be happy in it & have health to enjoy it. If we merit Heavenly Fathers blessings I know we shall be. We are indeed thankful for his blessing over our lives. Friday, October 3 One hundred years ago yesterday Charles C. Rich his family & Company of L.D.S. Pioneers of which he had charge arrived in Salt Lake City. His posterity met in Salt Lake City today to commeorate this day & hold their annual reunion of the Rich family. Ezera C. Rich the oldest living son in charge. A plaque honering Nancy ONeal, mother of C.C. Rich who was the first white women to die in Salt Lake was erected in the City Cemetary & dedicated to her memory next page This took place in the morning a good many in attendance. The meeting of the family was held at Hotel Utah at 230 P.M. A vine programme & reports given two hundred or more present. The banquet in the evening held in the beautiful Ballroom was very fine a few guests D.O. McKay of the L.D.S. Presidency, Adam S. Bennion were speakers. Very fine. 331 of the Rich family & in laws were present Ida R. Strong was chairman & Ben L Rich toast Master. A very fine time was had. Sunday, October 5 Dr and I listened to General Conference all forenoon. Wonderful testemonies were borne by all speakers. We ate lunch at the Valley House with Junior & family (except Sharen). Very good chicken. Listen to Conference Speakers in the car over radio while at Ski Lift. Dr took a ride on the lift up Mt Ogden from East side. Did Justin R. Eccles sail from N.Y. for France today?
