The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Show Thursday, January 23 Friday 24 Acacia Club meets at Friday 24 Dr & I attended a very nice Turkey dinner at the 5 Ward 2.00 per plate. We also bought from them a large cooked turkey for 12.00 Ice cream, cake, hard rolls salad, celery & lettuce which we shall serve tomorrow night for my family party. Friday, January 24 Cleone R Eccles reviewed the book Thunder out of china by Theodore H. White and Amos lee Jacoby at Acacia She gave it very interestingly Jan 25 My brother Mathew Cozzens & wife called to see me on their way to Calif. from Byron Wyo. Duplicate Turkey dinner at 5th Ward at end of which we saw the picture Brigham Young. We bought a 20 cooked turkey for 12.00, also hard rolls, celery, lettuce, prepared card jello salad, cake & ice cream for a party at home tomorrow night. Saturday, January 25 I have spent this afternoon preparing for family dinner tonight. Those who came were Junior, Blanch & Lynn Rich Cleone R. Royal & Justin Eccles Myrene R. Brewer Heber, Lucile, Douglas & Paul Hancock. Our dinner was very good & we had a nice evening togather. The girls helped so kind of them. Lucile came early as Cleone was in Salt Lake until late & Myrene has more than she can do at home. Joe did not come. Sunday, January 26 Dr & I attended Sunday School & had dinner with Cleone & family. Weater warmer snow mostly gone. This evening Dr spoke a few min. at 33rd Ward on S.U.P. membership, Sons of Utah Pioneers. We called on Mrs Flygare she is getting better. Dr called on Dr Baker & took him some turkey etc. Dr. Junior Edward Rich, son of Dr. and Mrs. Edward I. Rich, of Ogden, was appointed county physician today by the board of county commissioners to succeed Dr. Francis R. Conroy. Ogden Taken from 25 yr ago in Standard |
