Another Performance Of Promised Valley Notwithstanding the immense attendance during the period in which Promised Valley was enjoyed at the outdoor theater in the university stadium, there has been such a clamor for continuance of the musical drama of Utahs colonization that an extra performance will be staged tonight. In the entire history of the intermountain west no such a stupendous and satisfying portrayal of pioneering has ever been witnessed. The scenery, the costumes, the acting, the dancing, the singing and the orchestral accompaniment were pronounced superb by professionals, by sons and daughters of pioneers, by transients and by an appreciative people accustomed to good music all their lives. In a galaxy of talent trained by masters and intensified by personal pride, two stars of the first magnitude created an impression that will not fade from the memory of listeners while they live to reminisce the features of the Centennial celebration. Alfred Drake and Jet McDonald will be remembered with praise and pleasure for decades to come on account of their marvelous voices, their culture and technique, their splendid acting and appearance, their sympathetic interpretation of experiences that have survived the mutations and innovations of a hundred years.That the stadium will be crowded tonight is not only a foregone conclusion, but a chance to bid a fond farewell to a great aggregation of talent and charm.
