Show January 10 Wednesday Coldest night. Have had a buisy day. Preparing turkey, cranberries, salad, etc for tomorrow. Have found a number of friends whom we wished to have are out of town or have other dates previously made. Do not retire until late. Dr retired quite early. Guests for tomorrow evening. Dr & Mrs. JRMorrell, Pres Weber College Pres & Mrs. Aldous Dixon, Mr & Mrs. Jack Davis, Adam & Dorothy Patterson, Mr & mrs Howard Jenkins Sup of Dee Hospital Dr & Mrs Conrad Jensen, Postmaster RB Porter & wife, Mr & Mrs James H Douglas. Thursday 11 January. A buisy day. Put the turkey in the oven at 2 PM 22 it was sure a nice one will serve with it wild rice gree string beans, craberry jel cellery, olives, pickles, three kinds of jam & jelly. Hot rolls and for desert rolled cake ice cream. Will serve buffett style & seat guests at four tables four at each. Large table in dining room, spread with beautiful grass linen cloth with fruit center piece. All food served from here except desert. Four tables set with fine grass linen, sterling silver, crystal glass and china. Two maids to assist Eighteen were served after which Dr showed his Central American Pictures on screen. |
