Show January 22 Monday Weather more moderate. A buisy morning at home. Junior came with Dr for lunch. At 2 oclock PM I went to hear Prof. Maud May Babcock read the three act play Call it a Day. She read two hr to a crowded house at the Ball Room of Ben Loman. Too long. Cleone & trio played two numbers very fine. Elizabeth Thomas came home with me & stayed until six. We had a nice visite. At six thirty Morris Ellison & wife came to have dinner and spend the evening. Dr called me about it ten minutes before they arrived so it was a hurried dinner. After they left 1030 I did up my kitchen work. Tuesday 23 January. Did not get up very early. Dr Junior and Dr have been operating most of yesterday and today. I went to 5 Ward RS gave a small part of the lesson on propaganda. After dinne Dr & I went up to the 12 Ward to hear Connie Bunnell read Gone With the Wind. She is an eccleant reader. Dr read from The Treasure Hunter of LA for an hr & we retired. Recd a nice letter from Lucile my sister. She & Dr Hancock are going to Florida for two or three weeks, wish we were going to meet them there. |
