Show May 13 Monday. The past four days seemed like a dream. On Mothers Day I was with Mary & family at Menlo Park Calif. With Avon at Modest & home with Myrene, Junior, & Cleone & families in the evening. I found on my return last night Mother Day greetings by telegram from Oscar by letters from Oertel, Thair Cloteel & the children. This world dosent seem so big anymore. Guess I will never have another day as May 12 1940. Have rested some today and feel fine tonight. Also had a nice letter from my sister Lucile. Tuesday 14 May. This AM Mrs. RB Porter and I as membership committee called on Mrs. Ella Farr, Mrs. Lucile Dixon, Mrs Sharlene Scowcroft and Mrs. Rose Bell Barker to inform them of their acceptance into Acacia Club if they cared to come in. All expressed pleasure at being invited and will except. This afternoon I attended a part in the 5 Ward in honor of Sister Stella Hansen & officers who retired as officers of Relief Society after long & good service. My Blood pressure is 200 over 90 tonight. I wrote my sister Lucile. War is terriable. |
