This collection contains 74 diaries of Dr. Edward Rich and his wife Almira. They begin in 1892 and run through 1965. The bulk of this collection centers on Almira's diaries that run from 1897-1947. During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Show Tribune July 21 - 57 State central committees of both major parties in Utah will Captain Finishes Year as Intern Richard B. Rich, a son of Mrs. Edward L. Parry, 239 Center St., has completed a year of internship and received a graduate certificate from Tripler Army Hospital, Honolulu, T.H. Capt. Rich is serving with the Army Medical Corps and is a graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles and the George Washington University Medical School. He and Mrs. Rich and their daughter, Shauna, visited his mother and sister, Mrs. Jerry W. Coleman, in Salt Lake City while en route to his new station at Ft. Sam Houston, San Antonio, Tex. |
