Show Aug 21st 1957 The Salt Lake Tribune Well-Known Ogden Paid Edward Rich Weds Lorna Ledingham The Salt Lake LDS Temple was the setting Tuesday morning for the marriage of Miss Lorna Ledingham to Edward Browning Rich. Parents of the bridegroom, Mr. and Mrs. Junior Edward Rich, 1453 Marilyn Drive, Ogden, honored the bridal party at a wedding breakfast at the Alta Club after the rites. Greet Reception Guests The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence B. Ledingham, 1716 Binford, Ogden, who further honored the newlyweds at a large reception Tuesday evening in the Ogden 43rd LDS Ward. The bride and bridegroom greeted guests standing before an arch composed of pink camellias. Sixteen branch candelabra were on either side and two standards of pink gladioli flanked these. The new Mrs. Rich was attired in a Grecian style pink peau de soie model fashioned with an empire waistline. The bodice featured a V-neckline and small cap sleeves. The full skirt had a chapel length train and featured two front panels, beaded with pearls and iridescent sequins. A waist length veil of pink bridal illusion was attached to a crown of matching pearls and sequins. She carried a bouquet of white Phalaenopsis orchids and white roses. Miss Gayce Ledingham, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridal attendants were Miss Joyce Pugmire, Miss Pamela Bingham, Miss Carolyn Rich, sister of the bridegroom, Miss Annette Taylor and Mrs. Ernie Schneiter Jr. of Twin Falls, Idaho. They all wore similar gowns of silk organza in the same shade of pink as that of the bride’s. Attend Benedict Dr. O. Marvin Lewis, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, was best man. Ushers were Alex Brewer and Gary Nate. For a honeymoon trip to Glacier National Park and Yellowstone the bride chose a white and blue flowered challis trimmed with blue beads. After the honeymoon, the newlyweds will make their home in Salt Lake City where Mr. Rich will continue his studies in the University of Utah school of business and Mrs. Rich will transfer from Weber Junior College as a junior student.
