Ogden Standard Ralph W. Hardy Aug 7-57 Ralph W. Hardy, who died unexpectedly at the age of 41 while on a vacation visit to Ogden from Washington, rose swiftly in the broadcasting industry to a position of vice president of the Columbia Broadcasting System. He still had much work to do in his chosen field as has been attested by the warm tributes to his character and his work from those who knew him best. Besides achieving a reputation for exceptional ability in the industry, Mr. Hardy made notable contributions to his country through his UNESCO service and other activities, to his church and to other organizations whose work he admired and to which he lent his talents. Devotion to wife, children, and home was one of his most striking traits. The people of our state are entitled to feel proud and happy over the record of this Utah son, whose untimely passing is deeply mourned.
