Volume 1, Issue 4 New Zion Historical Note.... We were all blessed to see history in the making. New Zion congratulates H. C. Massey ona proud history of giving to others, making our community a better place and helping ensure that the less fortunate are not forgotten. The rededication of the Senior Villa Apartments to the H. C. Massey Senior Villa Apartments was held on April 2, 2008. This is a once in a lifetime honor. The ceremony was very well attended and many of his friends, co-workers and fellow church members were on hand to pay tribute to him. New Zion Baptist Church Christian Leadership School is projecting to hold its first “Certificate of Progress Program” (COPP) class in Fall 2008. The Program consists of four phases. Each phase in the program must be completed before a student can advance to the next phase. Upon completion of the fourth phase, the student will be issued a Diploma of Christian Education.
