However, this is also a “season” to reflect back, with thankfulness in our hearts, upon this year and acknowledge the fruitful labor of our dedicated sisters in Christ within the Mission and New Zion. @ Our partnership and support of the Ogden Unit of Church Women United has yielded new friendships and broadened our opportunities to witness and share the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We praise and thank God for Den. Virgia Wilder for taking the lead to keep us informed and involved in this ecumenical women's organization. # The Mission has been blessed with some new members as well this year. Sis. Evelyn Nixon and her granddaughters have been faithful in their support and attendance. We praise God for your desire to serve! @ The Mission also has been blessed with sisters whose lights shine brightly behind the scenes! Those sisters are Dcn. Roberta Williams, Dcn. Martha Luke, and Sis. Roberta Dixon and Sis. Lucy Jones. They have been instrumental in enabling the Mission to be a blessing in a multitude of areas, such as intercessory prayer, support to the bereaved members/families of New Zion, reaching out with visits/sending cards to the sick and shut-in in our church family, promoting our youth, and so on. @ It is said, “A picture is worth a thousand words!” The Mission has some sisters who go above and beyond in publicizing special Mission and New Zion events and celebrations and diligently labor to capture many of those special “moments in time” via photographs. These “PR” sisters are Sis. Emma Brown and Sis. Betty Smauldon .... one of New Zion's dynamic duos for God! There's nothing more joyous than to partner together with likeminded sisters in Christ and prayerfully plan events which result in abundant blessings for all involved. So it was with the following: The IGBC Women’s Auxiliary Young Women & Women’s Conference held on Saturday, September 20, 2008 at the White House of Ogden was an overwhelming success! The conference theme was, “Christian Women Standing Strong” and the anchor scripture was 2 Corinthians 10:4. As the IGBC Women’s Auxiliary President, Min. Holman would like to extend a personal thank you to |
