Show Sunday, February 20 Dr and I attended Sunday school. Rupert, Gladys, & Myrene Knowles had dinner with us. Lyman Rich called and gave us some news of the Rich family. Not so cold today. Dr made some calls and set a broken arm Myrene & children called. They are very cute & nice children. Are they some buisy bodies, never a dull moment. Monday, February 21 Cleaned my glass cabinet & spent afternoon reading & knitting as Dr was home home aerly Knife & Fork Club tonight also the Daughters of Weber Co Pioneers Ball. Should like to have attended both. But Dr & I went to hear Charles B. Wemer lecture & show his pictures Cavalcade of South America given at Weber College. We and Myrene Brewer called in to D.U.P. Ball at Weber Gym after. Wemers lecture was wonderful he had traveled 100,000 mi & pictures were in color & moving Tuesday, February 22 Have spent the day at home. Dr spent afternoon home & we enjoyed listening to radio news & reading & talking. This afternoon Cleone called. This evening we attended a patriotic programme at 5 Ward. War news look better. Japs oust two war lords on heels of trunk blow. Truk score 19 ships 201 planes for Allies 2,000 planes blast Lepzig, Gotha & Bernburg, & other undisclosed parts of Germany the largest most important and most hazardous operations ever undertaken. Wednesday, February 23 A nice letter from Avon. Sent Mr. W. M. Evertons history book to him. Enjoyed it. Hope Dr and I can write our family history as well. Hard fighting in Japan, also Russia & Italy. |
