During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Show Saturday, April 8 At Dicks Caf Dr & Mrs E.I. Rich entertained at family dinner & Programme. Special guests were Piolet Lt Merdith Ditlor Jr. Baltimore Md. Dr Ezra & Gladys Rich, Dr & Mrs H.C. Hancock, also John C. Hancock & wife Elaine from Pottstown Pa. 23 of our emediate family inlaws children & grand children attended. Gladys Rich read & presented to us an acustic & poetry she composed for our Golden Wedding. Very nice. Dr Hancock sang & others took part a very fine evening. Dr Junior flew home for the occasioin. Came in today. Sunday, April 9 Dr 76 today Easter Golden Wedding Day Stormy This has been a very eventful day in our lives. Held Open House in our home. About 300 friends & relatives called betwen hours 3 P.M. to 8 oclock P.M. Many from Salt Lake City. Bear Lake Ida, Logan Kaysville, & Brigham City. Decorations were beautiful & refrehsments of fruit punch ice cream, cake, candy & nuts were served by our grand daughters, Lynn, Myrelle, Sharen, & Sharlyne. Our daughters & daughters in law & my Sister Lucile assisted. Mrs Carma Green her helper & Silka Cleones maid were in kitchen. 63 of the Rich & 12 family came. 15 of the Cozzens family Dr & I and our family were very happy to be paid such honor. Now look forward to Diamon Anniversary. Monday, April 10 Medical Aux met with Joan Emmett. Aux of Medical unit of Bushnell Hospital were guest. Dr Price of U of Utah Medical School was the speaker. He gave some of his experiences while living in China 7 years. Very interesting. Our daughter Mary left via train for her home in Palo Alto. Mistake. Oertel, Robert drove home last night after the reception. Cloteel took her train for Los Angeles. June, Charles Avon and Janath took train for San Francisco last night. Mary will stay a week longer. Tuesday, April 11 Junior flew back this evening. Shure seems like a dream to have them come and go so quickly. Expense acct of Refreshments for reception Apr 9 & family dinner Apr 8th at Dicks Caf.
